Tree Root Mermaid Sculpture

Hand sculpted from one single tree root found in St. Croix after Hurricane Andrew in 1992. It was illegal to cut down any trees prior to the hurricane so when the damaged tress came down in the storm, Coronado took whole tree roots and sculpted these statues.
